S. 2242: Save Oak Flat Act
IT IS WORTH EXAMINING WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW , AS WELL AS WHY IT MATTERS TO THE PERSON YOU ARE AIMING YOUR COMMUNICATION AT.
*S. 2242, the Save Oak Flat Act, works to correct not only an injustice to Native Americans but also against the American people.
*Save Oak Flat Act, would repeal Section 3003, the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange Act (Land Exchange), of the FY 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, which would privatize part of the Tonto National Forest and transfer Oak Flat which is a sacred area of Apaches and other Native Americans.
*These privatizations would benefit to foreign-owned mining companies at the cost of our own citizens, their heritage, and the environment.
*This Land Exchange has threaten the water quality and water supply of the region.
